A major distraction on the sidewalks around Grand Central was the old, rusted, unsightly, and badly damaged news racks. The 20 year old news racks for Grand Central Partnership needed to be improved and all replaced. In re-designing these news racks, we improved fabrication and optimized assembly as well as made the units more durable, safer, and easier to install, allowing for more efficient on-site maintenance. We prototyped and sourced fabrication, producing the fifty plus units installed in 2019 throughout the Grand Central neighborhood.
